For me the most overused feature on my phone is my camera alongside a handful of social media sites. Therefore when Three Mobile contacted me and asked if I would like to review one of their products I immediately jumped at the chance to trial these Walimex Set Fisheye and Tele lenses.

The lenses themselves fit the Iphone 4/4s, smartphones, ipods, some digital cameras and some notebooks. The lenses are attached using small ring magnets that are perfectly shaped to fit around the lense with a sticky back that can be peeled away without leaving any residue.

The 0.67 wide tele lense gave a great long focal point that meant you could fit more of the object into the frame without having to squeeze yourself into a corner to get the shot. The lense itself left a crisp, clean image without distorting the object. It’d be a great lense to use for outfit posts to create a wide angle without creating a fun house mirror type effect.

The fish eye lens was my favourite, giving an extreme 180 degree angle of your perspective. I really liked the way it left a circular rustic frame around the photograph as though you’re looking through a keyhole into someone’s life.

The only negative point I have about Walimex Lense Set (which my patience may be to blame) is that the metal rings used to attatch the lenses to the lenses were’t as secure as I would like them to be.  They would move slightly and came away completely when switching between lenses. However this may of been because I didn’t wipe down my Iphone as thoroughly before applying.

But overall these lenses are a fun addition to the Iphone to create quirky photographs that are equal to the effects from an SLR!
