Thanks Manchester for living up to your name of being the city of rain. I’m surprised we even came out of hibernation on Saturday as the weather was pretty grim. But if you live in Manchester the words ‘just brave it’ is a well known phrase. 

We had a wonder around the Northern Quarter, which even though i live here i haven’t explored for a while. First stop was Ryan Vintage for a a good ol’ sift through the rails and then around to my favourite independants; ThunderEgg, Junk, Rockers and what would of been Oklahoma if it was closed for refurbishment.

After getting a little soggy we took shelter in Pieminister – just across from Afflecks Palace for some darn tasty pie and mash. Its newish to the NQ but its our first visit and it definitely won’t be our last. If your looking for something warm and homely you need to get your ass to Pieminister for the biggest list of pies you’ll ever see on a menu and i highly recommend the Beef and Stilton Mother ship…uhh so good!
