The Perfect Autumn Pleated Midi

I’m so happy that midi skirts are finally in ‘fashion’ not because I’d feel more ‘on trend’ as I’ve never been a trend follower nor a fashion expert. But simply due to the fact there are more styles, cuts and shades hanging on the rails of the high street. And with the Mancunian weather being as windy as it is at the moment they’re the perfect length of skirt to save your modesty!
I picked this little khaki number up In the Dorothy Perkins sale for an amazing sale price of £11. I love the subtle soft to defined pleats and the high elasticated waist band that makes it both comfortable and flattering as it glides over the hips. This skirt was such a bargain and the perfect fit that I snapped up the (surprise-surprise for those who know me) burgundy version; unfortunately my size was only in stock from the ‘tall’ range but I figured that just means it’s a little longer and for £11 you can’t quibble!
Dorothy Perkins was previously one of those last resort shops for me that I would never typically venture in too however their online shop is another story and pretty darn amazing at that. They always have some incredible bargains, discounts, jewellery and great range midi skirts for more than affordable prices!
I’ll warn you now that there’s going to be a lot of crop tops (if there hasn’t already been enough) featured in my future style posts. I’ve recently adopted a Brother AE1700 Sewing Machine and seen as though all my skirts are high waist I’ve been cropping every tee hanging in my wardrobe including this little grey number. It is actually a Men’s tee from H&M for something ridiculous like £3! I always find that Men’s ‘small’ t-shirts fit so much more snug than women’s, I think it’s because of the longer sleeves and higher neckline?
