The best thing about winter is the ease of styling an outfit with layers. Even if you can’t be bothered to throw something together as long as you own a statement scarf and/or hat your’e good to go!
In the colder months, although I love my chunky knits and jumper dresses I try to keep my layering to simple minimalist pieces. My basic layers tend to be cropped t-shirts and tops in which I then layer up with a jacket and a chunky staple scarf, this way whenever I’m on the go I can peel off a layer or two and instantly cool down! As for skirts I tend to go longer and team them with some higher denier tights and/ or fleecy ankle socks in my Chelsea boots!
As mentioned previously hats have become a huge part of my winter wardrobe. They’re great for completing an outfit and infamously perfect for hiding that uncooperative hair that you just can’t be bothered to even attempt to style! Fedoras are a main favourite of mine in which I probably now own about 6/7 shades from black to burgundy to khaki to grey/ And then of course the classic beret or beanie bobble hat which are great to throw on when its more windy (with the help from a few bobble pins)!

But If there’s one thing I’ve learnt about shopping in the colder months it’s the weird obsession I get with buying scarves…
