The Holland & Barrett Spa Day at Hale Country Club

#HBSPADAY

On Saturday morning myself and two fellow bloggers (@elliegdickinson and @amyylyons) were kindly invited to The Spa at Hale Country Club by the generous folks at Holland & Barrett to celebrate their weird and wonderful product ranges. A morning of relaxation and pampering that included a Re-hydrator Facial, a Deep Cleansing Back Treatment and an hour use of the spa facilities along with a spot of lunch.

Firstly the location of the spa is very impressive, elegantly situated in the sumptuous surrounding of the Cheshire countryside. On arrival we were shown straight to the rooftop champagne bar were given a complimentary healthy shot of fruit smoothie whilst we completed our beauty/ health forms.
After completion of the forms and noting down any specific areas we would like the therapist to concentrate on during the treatments we were shown to the beautifully lit changing rooms and asked to feel more comfortable by changing into out swimsuits, dressing gown and flip flops.

We then returned to the lounge to be greeting by our personal therapist and shown to the treatment room. Before treatments began we were asked to chose if we would like to feel relaxed or uplifted after the treatment of which led to smelling a number of scents that would be the perfect match for our body and mind.

The first treatment we received was the Deep Cleansing Back Treatment which consisted of a deep body brush, an intense massage to relieve stress and tension and a personalized mask to stimulate
circulation and cell renewal. The massage also concentrated on the legs and the shoulders as well as the obvious (the back).

The second treatment we received was the Re-Hydrator Facial which is said to be an intensive and regenerating luxury facial. The facial consisted of a deep cleanse to rid makeup, dirt and impurities, with an oil treatment,a top body massage (neck, chest, shoulders and face) a face mask and a oil head massage.

After both treatments I felt incredibly relaxed along side the tranquil ambiance of peaceful music and ambient lighting. The therapist left the room whilst we relaxed for a few minutes after our treatment and returned with a refreshment of a mango/ passion fruit sorbet to awaken our senses.

We then were able to experience full use of the spa’s facilities including the sauna, steam room, fire & ice, salt and mud room and the heated eternity wellness pool, heated relaxation chairs and swimming pool.

After an hour taking advantage of the spa’s facilities we met with the second group of bloggers were we spoke about our experience over a spot of lunch and a glass or prosecco.

The day itself was an incredible experience thanks to Holland & Barrett and one I hope to do again some time (hopefully sooner than later).
