So one of my favourite high-street stores ‘Miss Selfridge’ have challenged me to use a wardrobe style staple… the maxi dress and create a #MaxiDressToImpress look. Miss Selfridge has always been my go to store when I’m on the hunt for simple pieces with a unique twist and this maxi dress doesn’t disappoint.

With its sheer fabric, high neck and clean cut its the ultimate basic maxi dress except its unique twist of double high split sides makes it an incredibly versatile piece. Worn alone as a beach cover up, over jeans for a layered summer look or (as i did) worn with a high waist body con skirt to create a casual maxi dress.

More recently the UK weather has been pretty unpredictable, so when i spied this stunning leather look tan biker jacket although i know it doesn’t scream ‘Summer’ i had to have it! I’ve never owned a leather/ faux leather jacket that has not been black so when i tried this on in store i was surprised to fall in love with it! It instantly gives off a bohemian feel and looks effortlessly stylish thrown on over a plain outfit.

Swaying towards the bohemian/ festival summer look i accessorised the outfit with Miss Selfridge plain silver band rings, silver and turquoise stone cuff bracelet and a matching body chain which i managed to snap up in sale for less than half price and I’m completely obsessed with it! I also threw on an old wardrobe favourite which i picked up from Miss Selfridge a couple months… the classic fedora. I own way to many of these but they’re one of those hats which can make any outfit look stylish and also its great for hiding bed head when you just can’t be bothered (the secret it out).

Of course, saving the best to last I’ve been eyeing up this beautifully soft Black Suede Fringe Bag since it landed on the Miss Selfridge website and I’ve finally got my hand bag obsessive claws on it! Its the perfect summer statement handbag that can turn into a clutch and add a boho style to a party outfit or clip on the shoulder strap and (as i will be doing) team it with a casual weekend outfit for a effortlessly chic look.
