MANCHESTER’S BAKEHOUSE

“Vintage decor of something quirky, something new, something vintage and something blue”

Based on Edge Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter is a little Bake House and Coffee Bar that literally as its name suggests, a piece of Home Sweet Home. Id heard nothing but great things about this little hidden coffee corner and so had to try for myself, and boy ‘o’ boy was i impressed.

With its quirky decor of old posters, bird cages, books, teacups, wall hangings and tat, i felt full from just looking around, a real feast for the eyes without actually sampling “the feast” yet.

And as for the menu, it literally ticked every box from fun filled salad bowls, thick cut fresh sandwiches, spontaneous toasties (cheese burger toastie) and home made chilli, to an indulgent array of retro sweets (milk & cookies) and classic desserts with a twist (chocolate coca cola cake).
I couldn’t resist a coffee mocha with a vegetable feta sandwich on thick cut malted bread! Plus all sandwiches/toasties are served on a wooden board with a refreshing slice of water melon!

As for all you caffein headed coffee lovers, they have a list of your favourites along side quirky milkshakes, boys beers, cooky cocktails and fruit juices.

All in all – it is a must to go to when your in Manchester! – VIEW THE MENU
