Makeup primers and pore definers are vast becoming a makeup essential. I for one wondered what all the fuss was about and refused to buy an extra product to throw on to my skin in between moisturising and foundation. However months later after trialling testers ripped from the pages of magazines I’ve joined the makeup primer/ pore definer cult and have a few favourites of my own.

The Dr.Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner has to be my ultimate makeup primer and maybe even product. Not just a pore minimizing beauty essential but this little tube helps too; banish excess oil, smooths and evens skin tone and acts as a protective barrier whilst leaving a mattifying healthy glow. The product itself is directed at those with oily/combination skin as it can aid in concealing and perfecting a multitude of beauty sins.

The formula is a thick consistency with a light tint that blends into all skin tones like a dream. On application the product glides over the skin like silk, leaving a blurred almost flawless finish before you’ve even applied a base. The product hides pores and evens out skin tone whilst acting as a protective barrier between your face the build-up of products.

It contains active ingredients such as soothing lavender oil and a tea tree, an infamous natural antiseptic to assist in reducing spots and blemishes. I’ve been using the Dr.Brandt Pore Refiner as part of my daily makeup routine and found that I use less base product (so my skin feels more breathable/ light) and also that my foundation looks freshly applied throughout the whole day.  

I would highly recommend this product if you’re oily to combination skin, it’s a makeup must have!
