Autumn Florals & Plum Fedoras

As mentioned in my previous style post I’ve been having a major wardrobe sort out.  I’ve fully removed the ‘summer’ theme from its hangers (as I never truly liked those pieces) and I’m beginning to introduce key autumn/ winter cuts and shades.
The colder months are all about layers so I’ve been going back to basics with t-shirts, knits, skirts and items of clothing that can be accessorised.  I’ve been re-building my wardrobe with clean cut crops, simple slouchy knits and buying 2 or 3 of the same pieces in different shades.
I’ll venture into Primark once to twice a week and never find anything but recently Primark has been stocking a lot of dupes and I picked up this grey ribbed tshirt for under ¼ of the price of the Topshop ones and the material feels exactly the same.

Along with re-building my wardrobe with the basic pieces, I’ve been trying to add just a couple of patterned items (sticking to monochrome) but never the less I’m really liking floral print at the minute. I wouldn’t typically chose a ditsy print as they’re not too flattering however with this skirt from Glamorous is just perfect with its thick high waist band, floaty material and dividing exposed centered zip means the cut is surprisingly complimentary.
I’m currently on the hunt a maxi skirt and midi dress with a more larger floral print design for key A/W pieces to jazz up those basics, but the search is on going!
