A City Break In Budapest With Recommendations

So (as of late Friday night) we’ve just got back from a city break away to Budapest. It was our second visit to the beautiful city and although we wanted to discover new places and get lost in the streets, we wanted to revisit our favorite hot spots and plan more activities. We used airbnb.com again to chose a home from home flat as our base camp.

Last time we visited Budapest we stayed on the ‘Pest’ side of the river which is more central and closer to those tourist hot spots such as the Basilica and the Hungarian Parliament Building.
This time we decided to stay in ‘Buda’ which is more residential side of Budapest and we were pretty much in the center of the French quarter.
Our first holiday was more spontaneous, visiting the attractions and experiencing the city itself. Our second visit had more planned, we walked the backstreets away from the centre, planned activities such as the shooting range and a room escape puzzle and revisited our favorite places to eat.

As we’ve been twice i thought it’d be interesting the pull together a list from both visits of our favourite places to eat, drink, see and do. I would write reviews but this blog post would be huge, so i’ve formed a list and a mini description, this way you guys can search anything you’re interested in! Lets go:

New York Cafe – Claimed one of the most beautiful cafes in the world. Impressively beautiful.
