The ASOS Haul

I seem to have bursts of either wanting to buy clothing, beauty products or home ware. I tend to switch and swap between the the three however this time I was lucky enough to have an ASOS voucher to hand when I uttered that dreaded sentence “I have nothing to wear!”.
I don’t think I’ve ever purchased enough clothing from one place to class it as a ‘haul’, in fact I don’t think I’ve even bought an item of clothing in a long while! So with my voucher to hand I decided to purchase some wardrobe basics. Simple, effortless pieces that can be pulled off the hanger and worn alone or layered up.

As usual I’ve never been one for color but when your purchasing key wardrobe pieces black, white and grey are shades you want to encourage into your basics and onto your rails. Then to spruce up your winter wardrobe by add a touch of khaki, burgundy and navy… that;s the way my wardrobe works anyway!

I picked up a couple black tops that have more interesting cuts to spruce up my current basics (the bardot and the scoop back crop) as well as a classic body-con midi dress that everyone needs to have in their wardrobe. Its so simple to slip on a midi, throw on wardrobe stable (such as the khaki military shirt or a maxi cardigan), a pair of ankle boots and look like you’ve made a casual effort. I also picked up a loose thin knit cropped jumper to throw on over midi dresses or tuck into high waist skirts. Its super comfortable with its slouchy fit but can also be styled up with a chunky statement necklace.

Now I know a ‘swimsuit’ isn’t a wardrobe staple and I don’t think I’ve worn one since I was about 11 years old as i always thought them to be a little frumpy and well… for the older generation. But after seeing the swimsuit on the ASOS model and the sale price of £8 I couldn’t just leave its pretty little classic cut without popping it into my basket!
