Festival season is here and what better way to spruce up a plain black maxi dress than with some statement jewellery from Jon Richard? I don’t know about you but when I’m going to a festival I typically go for comfort over style. However it’s easy to have the best of both worlds, simply by using accessories to make statement and turn that plain white tee into something a little more special. When I’m heading to a festival I like to pack the basics; black maxi dress, maxi skirt, plain white/grey tee and the odd band shirt but to spruce up my look and create a more boho style I layer on the jewellery. These pieces from Jon Richard are sure to turn your back to basics look into boho sheek with some added colour and tassels!

Summer isn’t really one of my favourite seasons to ‘style’ so when it comes to summer clothes I tend to opt for simple pieces. Items of clothing I throw on and go in the warmer months and layer up and wear all year around. T-shirt dresses are the perfect basic piece that you can build upon with jewellery, scarves, tights or wear bare legged with a statement bag in the warmer months.

Handbags are a huge staple accessory, they can add a certain style and complete any outfit. I probably change my handbag more than i change my hairstyle and my collection is forever growing. Due to my short term relationships with handbags I’ve never purchased an ‘investment’ piece as I’m continuously replacing my current handbag. But if money wasn’t an option and i was given the opportunity to splurge the handbag floor of House of Fraser, these are what I’d be eyeing up!

I’m a big fan of online shopping. But I have a major habit of turning a couple hours of ‘just browsing’ into hitting the Add To Basket button. However when the lovely people of New Look asked If i would like to pick my favorite items from their site and throw them into a Wish List I couldn’t resist. Monochrome is a favorite of mine, its my go to color and the fact its ‘on trend’ this Spring means there’s more on the High street to choose from and New Look have some great pieces. I obviously spotted the ‘midi dress’ section and this little beauty is a favorite  Its a casual stretchy style dress that you can throw on a jacket and some boots and be off. But then you can switch it up for day time with some high heels and a clutch. I usually team black and white with a touch of color but more recently I’ve been liking neutral creams, beige and browns. These New Look ankle boots are amazing and a bargain price for the detail and quality. Yes, I’m this close to hitting ‘Add To Basket’.
